Allergies and Asthma

Allergies and Asthma
- A dangerous combination

Don’t ignore this guide to Allergies and Asthma

No one can argue about the seriousness of asthma and the sudden onset of an asthma attack. Having allergies and asthma however can be a serious problem in that allergies have been known to bring on an asthma attack.

One of the greatest concerns you should have regarding asthma is preventing the allergies that cause and trigger asthma.

Asthma, being an inflammatory condition where your breathing becomes very difficult, accompanied with cough, wheezing and chest tightness is caused or made worse by certain allergies.

If you are born with a hereditary disorder, for example, there is the tendency that you will develop immediate allergic reactions to certain things like pollen, some kind of food, dander from animals, dust, or similar allergic conditions.

The solution to such allergens is to stay away from them and to avoid getting into situations where you will be exposed to them as an asthmatic victim.

There is no point in taking all the asthma medications and following an asthma plan of action if you keep exposing yourself to factors that cause, trigger or worsen your asthmatic condition.

For example, what is the use of taking all the asthma medications if a victim keeps working daily in a job that exposed him to dangerous chemicals or substances that trigger asthmatic attacks? Asthma allergies multiple chemical syndrome is very common for some with sensitivities to chemicals.

Such victim will only keep spending his money for nothing and would achieve no result.

Note that such occupational-induced asthma can lead eventually to permanent lung damage. When this happens, it becomes too late to reverse it.

So, it is important to stay away from the allergies that cause, trigger or worsen your asthmatic condition.

If you don’t know what these allergies are, see your doctor and after a lengthy discussion you will be able to identify them. What most doctors do when treating asthma is to ask you questions regarding your past attacks.

They want to know what situations caused, triggered or worsen your asthmatic condition in the first place.

Your answers will reveal those allergies that you should prevent to stay safe from future attacks of asthma.

The doctor can better advise you on how to focus on lowering the potential risk of serious respiratory episodes in children with allergies and asthma. With a good treatment plan for asthma, and a plan of attack on the allergy triggers, you child can grow up and live a long healthy life.

Besides, aren't our kids worth it?
