Simply put, inflammation of the bronchial tubes, which pass air into the lungs is known as bronchitis. There are however two types of bronchitis, and of the two, one can be caused by two factors. Acute bronchitis is usually associated with a respiratory infection that can be either viral or bacterial. This is the main reason why homeopathic remedies, if used, should be used with extreme caution.

When dealing with bronchitis in the aged however, it's usually better to take advantage of nursing care plans for bronchial asthma and bronchitis in a hospital.

Attempting to treat this type of bronchitis with "like cures" like homeopathy may result not in being cured but a serious case of respiratory pneumonia may develop. The sad part is that a medical doctor can quickly diagnose bronchitis and prescribe antibiotics when necessary to quickly control the infection.

This isn't to say that homeopathy is completely worthless. Many symptoms such as sinusitis and a chronic bronchial cough can be treated without expensive pharmaceutical medications. Still, if you're a parent, wouldn't it be great to have some effective cough medicine to relieve your child's hacking cough in the middle of the night when a homeopathic remedy doesn't work?

Homeopathy:
Homeopathy is the treatment of disease by consuming natural materials that are claimed to simulate the symptoms of the disease. The natural products are diluted in water and so the claimed effective ingredient can be given in extremely small amounts. The efficacy of this type of treatment has been rejected by most medical experts today. Homeopathic remedies also run the risk that individuals could be harmed because a cure from a physician may be ignored.

Homeopathic medicine was founded in the late 18th century and consists of using diluted substances from various animals minerals and plans. The remedies are designed to match different symptoms of illnesses to encourage the body's natural healing process.

Should Homeopathy Be Considered with Bronchitis?

While many so-called natural healers will claim that homeopathy can cure many illnesses, they do not have to live with the consequences of your decision to go with homeopathy.

If you're considering homeopathic remedies for bronchitis, consider that acute bronchitis can lead to pneumonia which in turn can lead to several days in the hospital. It extremely serious cases, pneumonia can even lead to death.

Your faith in a particular course of healing should not blind you to the potential seriousness of bronchial infections and disease. It would be much better to consider homeopathic remedies in conjunction with a visit to the doctor. Although personally not one to run to the doctor for every minor ailment, I do believe that bronchial symptoms should be considered serious and treated as such.
